The function of the Clay Grader type "FR", a machine designed by LAKER in
1977, is to remove all kinds of impurities such as stones, roots, ferrous and non-ferrous
materials found in ever increasing abundance in today's clay deposits. This machine is ideal in the wet preparation of clays because it not only eliminates impurities but also mixes and homogenizes different types of clay forming compound pellets. The filtration through the two contra-rotating drilled rollers, welded with special wear resistant and low friction material, allows a high production with a low energy consumption. Little maintenance is necessary and wearing parts are few. |

Detail of the rollers and the inlet zone of the machine; the close drilling allows a production over most of the surface. A collection hopper completes the inlet zone.
Detail of the output on the belt: clay is well mixed and ready for the subsequent machines.
Detail of the pellets: mixed and free of impurities.
